Contact Lenses

Contact Lenses

Most types of vision correction can be achieved with contact lenses and we regularly fit lenses to correct astigmatism, or lenses that allow both distance and reading vision. Considering whether to wear contact lenses can be a big decision, and we will be happy to spend time with you to talk over the options.

Lenses are simple to wear, need little maintenance, and are available for either full or part-time use – for instance you may want them just for sport or social events.

As well as for long and short sight, we regularly fit and supply lenses for astigmatism, or multifocals that give both distance and reading ability, or even both astigmatism and multifocal combined.

As part of the fitting procedure we will provide you with lenses to test drive for a week or two, and if necessary we will continue with different trials until we have reached the best for you.

Why not book an appointment now and ask us about the options available for you.

Soft Lenses

Comfortable, clear vision with contact lenses that deliver high levels of oxygen to the eye and are so versatile that they can be used for almost any event, and to correct almost every vision problem.

Disposable Contacts

Health, comfort and safety are the reasons to replace contact lenses regularly and routinely, and disposable options range from daily or fortnightly or monthly.

Astigmatism

Astigmatism is the description of a surface that is more rugby ball shaped than perfectly round, and correcting this with contact lenses is a lot simpler than it once was.

Bifocal Contacts

Contact lenses can now provide corrections for both distance and near vision and if you require spectacles for both distance and near, why not consider this as an option. There are many designs available to choose from and we will gladly discuss what is right for your eyes

Gas Permeable

Sometimes soft lenses are not the best solution for a variety of reasons, and gas permeable lenses may be the better option. Because their material holds it shape better, they can correct higher levels of astigmatism than soft lenses.
