Astigmatism is quite
simply a rugby ball shaped eye and correcting for it
is no longer a barrier to successfully wearing contact lenses. Modern computer assisted lens design achieves a near perfect fit for most degrees of astigmatism and as it means that the lens maintains a stable position on the eye it can thus deliver a stable correction to vision. Both gas permeable and soft lenses can be used, as well as daily and monthly disposable soft lenses. If you want to try - and almost everyone can now be fitted - why not book in for a trial.
